Why pick between city life and being close to nature when San Francisco gives you both?
One of the things I love about living here is how quickly you can move between completely different versions of the city.
Coffee and a walk through Golden Gate Park in the morning.
Dinner and drinks in the Mission that night.

Living in San Francisco long enough means you eventually start speaking a language that makes absolutely no sense anywhere else.
“The City.”
“The Richmond.”
“The Wiggle.”
“Across the Bay.”
And somehow, locals know exactly what you mean.
Then there are the ones that make someone new to San Francisco stop and say, “Wa…

There are some things you only start to appreciate once you’ve spent enough time looking at San Francisco real estate.
Like getting excited about 1,000 sf, treating a flat lot like a luxury amenity, or realizing remodeled doesn’t always mean better.

I mean, no shade to LA. But you could be 20x happier in San Francisco 😉
I know Southern California has its charms, I’m just not sure any of them are worth giving up foggy summer mornings, Golden Gate sunset, mellow weather when the rest of the country is melting & the fact that you can go from city streets to the bea…

One of the things I love about living here is how quickly you can move between completely different versions of the city.
Coffee and a walk through Golden Gate Park in the morning.
Dinner and drinks in the Mission that night.
A weekend hike in Marin.
An afternoon at the beach.
A spontaneous plan to go check out something happening across town.
And depending on the neighborhood you choose, you can have a quieter, residential home base without feeling removed from everything that makes city life fun.
That’s one of the things people don’t always realize when they’re considering a move to San Francisco. You don’t necessarily have to choose between the lifestyle you want and the things you want access to.
Sometimes the trick is finding the right neighborhood.
If you’re considering a move to San Francisco, **what would you want your everyday life here to look like?** Tell me below.

That’s one of my favorite things about this city. There’s so much shorthand, history, and local context baked into everyday life that you really only pick it up by being here.
Here are a few sayings and phrases that immediately tell me someone knows San Francisco.
What did I miss?

And yes, I will absolutely take original woodwork, built-ins, charm and good bones over a house that’s been stripped of its personality.
San Francisco real estate has its quirks, but honestly…we’ve normalized a lot of them.
What would you add to the list?

I know Southern California has its charms, I’m just not sure any of them are worth giving up foggy summer mornings, Golden Gate sunset, mellow weather when the rest of the country is melting & the fact that you can go from city streets to the beach to the redwoods without leaving the Bay Area.
Plus, I’ll take a neighborhood with personality over sitting in traffic on the 405 any day.
San Francisco isn’t perfect. But that’s kind of the point. It’s weird, beautiful, walkable, dramatic, and somehow always gives you a reason to fall in love with it again.
